The full license and additional notices supplied by the upstream project are in `vendor/avian-visitors/LICENSE`. The initial import copied the upstream `avian/` and `frame/` directories without altering their contents. The upstream README files and illustration-bundle guide were renamed only to distinguish them from this project's own documentation. The primary application now adapts the upstream scientific-name slug and pose conventions, illustration/dimension/mask data contract, silhouette mask decoder and packing approach, silhouette-following name planner and wrapping behavior, BirdNET read-API contract, visibility-aware refresh pattern, and selected health checks. These adaptations live outside `vendor/` and differ from upstream as described in `docs/VENDOR_INTEGRATION.md`. The vendored snapshot itself remains unmodified. The copied material is provided without endorsement by the upstream authors and without warranty. Use and distribution of that material, and adaptations based on it, must remain noncommercial, provide attribution, indicate modifications, and use CC-BY-NC-SA-4.0 or a compatible share-alike license. ## BirdNET-Lite And BirdNET-Pi The upstream license identifies the following inherited attribution: - BirdNET-Lite: K.
